About the Role
Join our healthcare client a rehabilitation facility specializing in postacute care as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). In this role you will play an essential part in supporting patients recovery journeys by working under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists to provide personalized highquality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer patient treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist (PT).
- Maintain treatment records in compliance with PT Board standards.
- Communicate patient progress and care plans with the healthcare team.
- Assist with treatment area maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Attend Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
- Follow physiciandirected treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
- Support the nursing team by providing Restorative Aide training.
- Participate in inservice staff training sessions.
- Provide training to patients families and caregivers to ensure smooth transitions at discharge.
- Document treatment changes according to facility policies.
- Report equipment issues promptly to ensure a safe environment.
- Cultivate positive relationships with patients families and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in the state of California
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Teamoriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting
