As a Lead Backend Engineer you will:
Architect and design scalable highperformance microservices that power our carsharing platform
Take ownership of technical scope and functional flows across systems ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
Optimize PostgreSQL database schemas to handle highvolume transactions and complex queries efficiently
Perform handson coding pair programming and code reviews leading by example and promoting engineering best practices
Continuously evaluate and enhance engineering processes to boost productivity and maintain a highquality codebase
Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including product managers designers and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions
We are looking for:
Proven experience: 8 years as a backend engineer with at least 2 years in team management mentoring or leading technical implementations
Microservice mastery: Deep expertise in designing and implementing eventdriven and microservice architectures
Tech stack proficiency: Strong command of Node.js PostgreSQL AWS Git CI/CD test automation and containerization
Security and reliability focus: Knowledge of software security best practices monitoring and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
Agile mindset: Familiarity with Scrum TestDriven Development (TDD) Extreme Programming (XP) and DomainDriven Design (DDD) methodologies
