Job Description
VikingTravelCare is looking for a MedicalManager to take responsibility forproject management and implementation of specific services in Viking Travel Care.
The role will have responsibility for services related to medical escorted transports and be involved in routines such as medical assessments medical preassessment expat case handling as well as participation in recruitment and training of staff.
The position will support Travel Care Management ensure that processes are wellfunctioning and flow in good quality.
Responsibilities
- Establish routines for medical escorted transports (flight nurse and doctors) incl medication and medical equipment handling and be responsible for the daytoday management of these routines.
- Recruitment and training of inhouse nurses to the Travel Care Operations.
- Take part in establishing and improving medical processes and training staff in these processes.
- Take part in implementing routines for expat case handling.
- Represent Viking Travel Care in customer meetings.
- Participate in quality improvements and complaints handling.
- Other administrative or project related tasks in support to the Travel Care management.
- Depending on the specialties of the candidate selected the role can be somewhat adjusted.
Optional:
- Travel out on escort nurse (flight nurse) assignments for Viking Travel Care
Qualifications
- Qualified nurse
- Long experience as escort nurse have handled medication and equipment for medial transports
- Long experience with travel assistance and travel insurance
- Expertise in medical processes for travel insurance claims including expats
- Experience with starting up travel assistance services and training staff
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Independent and selfdriven good in establishing and managing
- Communicate well and have good people skills.
- See solutions instead of problems and have a flexible mindset.
- Native speaker of one of the Nordic languages; Norwegian Swedish Danish or Finnish as well as English
Employment type
- The position can be fulltime or part time.
- The position reports to Director of Travel Care
Workplace
- Preferably in Spain alternatively in Stockholm or Oslo.
- If stationed in the Nordic frequent travelling to our offices in Spain will be necessary.
