A vibrant primary school in Ealing is seeking a patient and dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to support children with physical disabilities. This role is ideal for someone with experience in working with mobility aids and therapies providing essential support to help students access the curriculum and thrive.

Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support for children with physical disabilities assisting them in accessing learning activities and daily routines.
- Assist students with mobility including the use of mobility aids and equipment.
- Support with physical therapies as directed by external specialists or the SENCO.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and classroom layouts to accommodate individual needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching team and parents.
- Promote independence and selfconfidence in students by encouraging participation in activities.
- Ensure the physical wellbeing of students during school hours including assistance with personal care where required.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with physical disabilities in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with the use of mobility aids and physical therapy equipment is preferred.
- A patient compassionate and supportive approach to working with students with special needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers support staff and families.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or teaching assistance (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable.
- A DBS check is required.
