Job Description
Our prestigious girls school in Richmond seeks an exceptional leader to join our dynamic Physical Education department. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the opportunity to shape the future of girls physical education within a supportive and academically rigorous environment.
About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Girls PE program aligning with the schools overall vision and educational goals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging PE curriculum that fosters a love of sport and physical activity in all girls.
- Oversee the work of PE teachers within the Girls program providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with students staff and parents promoting a positive and inclusive environment within the Girls PE program.
- Champion equal opportunities for all girls to participate and excel in PE and sports.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Physical Education or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for physical activity and sport with a proven track record of success in leading and developing PE programs for girls.
- Excels in leadership communication interpersonal skills and collaboration.
- Has a deep understanding of the National Curriculum for PE and the ability to create innovative and engaging learning experiences.
- A commitment to promoting equality inclusivity and the importance of physical and mental wellbeing within the Girls PE program.
