An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced SENCO at a prestigious school in Kensington & Chelsea. Lead and manage the provision for SEN students working closely with staff parents and external agencies to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Type: Fulltime Permanent

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs ensuring that all students receive appropriate and tailored support.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers parents and external agencies.
- Work closely with staff to support the identification assessment and monitoring of SEN students.
- Coordinate with external agencies such as educational psychologists speech and language therapists and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
- Monitor the progress of SEN students and adapt strategies to ensure continued development and success.
- Provide guidance and training to teaching staff on effective SEN strategies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and school policies maintaining accurate records and reports.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a SENCO qualification or significant experience working in an SENCO role.
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices in SEN provision.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff parents and external agencies.
- Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- A compassionate and studentcentered approach to education.
- A DBS check is required.
