Job Description
Our thriving secondary school in West London seeks a talented and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher to join our dynamic faculty. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the opportunity to shape young minds foster a love of cooking and promote healthy eating habits.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across all year groups (KS3 KS4) adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love of exploration creativity and practical skills.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of food preparation cooking techniques and nutrition.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE ALevel as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Food Technology department and contribute to schoolwide events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages teamwork respect and a love for food.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for food and cooking with a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication interpersonal skills and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- Has a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
