Job Description: Scrub Tech (Surgical Technologist)
The Scrub Techs demonstrate teamwork ensuring a sterile environment is maintained while providing a safe environment for patients. They assist surgeons during operative procedures and ensure that the Operating Room area remains safe and aseptic. Scrub Techs undergo an extensive orientation with a dedicated preceptor becoming proficient across all surgical service lines. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the Operating Room.
- Ensure patient safety and follow aseptic techniques.
- Participate in the orientation and mentoring of new Scrub Techs.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure high standards of care.
- Assist in various types of surgeries including general robotics neuro plastics colorectal and urology procedures.

Requirements:
- Must have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program or possess five (5) consecutive years of training/experience as a Surgical Tech.
- Recent clinical experience as a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or Surgical Technologist.
- LPN with one (1) year of surgical tech experience is preferred.
- National Certification as a Surgical Technologist is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- If certified must maintain current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
