Job Description
Job Title: Data Scientist (Big Data Engineer)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
- Provide support for system modernization efforts by performing data conversion and reporting tasks.
- Prepare and optimize data for migration to Snowflake and SAS Viya platforms. Ensure seamless integration and functionality by creating efficient data transformation processes using ETL SQL Python and R.
- Build comprehensive reports that meet both federal and state requirements using Snowflake and SAS Viya ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Work as an active member of an agile team delivering valuebased technology solutions through new features and functionality.
- Develop and implement databases ETL processes data collection systems and data quality strategies to optimize statistical efficiency accuracy and overall data quality.
- Examine and resolve data quality issues within the Data Intelligence space using tools such as ETL AWS Lambda and AWS Glue to implement necessary changes.
- Leverage advanced data analytics techniques to support strategic decisionmaking ensuring data integrity quality and timely delivery of results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in data conversion and report building using Snowflake and SAS Viya.
- demonstrated experience with data transformation processes using ETL SQL Python and R.
- Experience working with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Experience in a Scrum or Agile development environment.
- proficiency in ETL processes and tools such as AWS Glue and AWS Lambda.
- Strong knowledge of database management and data warehousing concepts.
- Expertise in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
