Job Summary
The Sales Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the presence and performance of products in retail stores. This role involves creating and maintaining attractive product displays managing inventory and fostering strong relationships with store personnel to drive sales and meet merchandising objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that stores and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products
- Develop and implement effective product displays and promotional setups in retail locations
- Monitor sales performance and inventory levels making adjustments to displays and stock as needed
- Regularly update displays to reflect current promotions seasonal themes or new product launches
- Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff to facilitate effective product placement and promotions
- Complete and submit regular reports on merchandising activities sales performance and inventory status
- Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction and effective product representation
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in Marketing Business Administration or a related field
- Previous experience in merchandising retail sales or a similar role is preferred
- Excellent communication interpersonal organizational and timemanagement skills
- Ability to lift and move products set up displays and stand for extended period
- Familiarity with the local market and customer base is advantageous
- Uptodate with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
