Your Impact
This role sits within the Transfer Agent Vendor Oversight team. The team manage ongoing responsibilities regarding the Implementation and maintenance of Distribution and Rebate agreements as well as work on the execution of key strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the oversight framework and improving the service offering.
The role entails stakeholder coordination and requires strong attention to detail selfmotivation and proactivity to deliver exceptional client service whilst adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. As an owner of the endtoend onboarding process you will have the opportunity to identify inefficiencies and drive enhancements to improve the client experience and ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
The role entails working in the Rebate & Trailer Oversight area of the team. The team performs the following key functions;
- Implementation and maintenance of Distribution and Rebate agreements as well as the oversight of the ongoing calculation of trailer and rebate fees working closely with sales legal product development and portfolio management teams.
- Perform monthly and/or quarterly controls around the rebate and trailer processes with the aim of reducing errors and increasing accuracy as well as continuing to improve existing controls and carrying out adhoc reviews as required.
- Ongoing review and maintenance of internal policies and procedures with a view to increasing automation scalability and outsourcing of tasks to external vendors with appropriate controls and cost efficiencies.
- Coordination of new fund and share class launches and setup on internal and external systems and platforms working closely with distribution services product development and the funds group teams.
- Provision of management/board reporting and information for adhoc management requests.
- The candidate will be required to work with senior members of the division and cover both day to day and project related tasks relevant to the activities mentioned in the summary above
Day to day you will be responsible for:
- Agreement execution working with the sales team the client and the legal team to ensure smooth end to end execution of new agreements.
- Implementation Post execution you will be required to determine the operational workflow of the agreement and hand over to another region who will implement the set up.
- Client Queries you will be the first point of contact for all client queries.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For
- Bachelor s degree with good academic record or equivalent gained through relevant work experience.
- High level of accuracy and the ability to maintain this standard whilst under pressure.
- Excellent communication organisation and multitasking skills with ability to set own priorities.
- Highly motivated and team focused but able to work independently to solve problems.
- Exposure to projectbased work especially with thinking through and delivering policy and process improvements.
- Knowledge of offshore mutual fund transfer agent operations processing and compliance standards
- Experience in the banking/asset management industry
- Experience of working in a rebate role within an asset management environment is preferrable
