Position Summary:
- provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating dressing bathing and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Keep accurate and up to date records or clients care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients their families and other members of the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
- A minimum of high school or equivalent.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion(highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
- Day shift night shifts sleepovers and weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities cultural backgrounds and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in microsoft office suite.

Certificate III in individual support, nearest equivalent, Diploma or higher
