Job Description
- Construct install and repair wooden structures and fixtures including furniture cabinets doors and windows.
- Measure cut shape and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints sketches and design plans to determine project requirements.
- Inspect and assess damaged or deteriorating wooden structures and implement appropriate repairs.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools such as saws drills sanders and planes safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the carpentry workshop and work areas.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role preferably in a hospitality or construction setting.
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques including measuring cutting shaping and assembling.
- Ability to interpret blueprints sketches and design plans accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
- Excellent manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in carpentry.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.
