Job Description
Fairmont Mumbai is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our preopening team as Food and Beverage Hostesses. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a luxury hospitality brand and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences in our diverse dining outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Engagement: Warmly welcome guests upon arrival escort them to their tables and ensure their comfort throughout their dining experience.
Menu Knowledge: Provide detailed information about menu items including ingredients and preparation methods and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests ensuring all special requests are communicated to the kitchen and bar.
Service Coordination: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth service flow.
Upselling: Proactively promote menu items beverages and special promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of food and beverage presentation meets Fairmont standards before serving to guests.
Problem Resolution: Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally striving to resolve issues to the guests satisfaction.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow team members to provide seamless service and contribute to a positive working environment.
Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment for guests and colleagues.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays as per business needs.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations including wine service is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
