What youll do
We are looking for an experienced Head Baker to join the preopening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef you will:
- Manage our overnight Bakery operation and our team of Pastry.
- Use your outstanding experience to lead the team in producing bakery goods of the highest quality and standard using authentic methods and techniques shaping by hand and always one step ahead of industry trends; youll be a key part of a winning team that creates truly exceptional dining experiences.
- Craft a range of breads rolls baguettes bun dough scones laminate dough pastry and cakes with creativity and flair developing delicious combinations of taste and texture.
- Continuously develop and innovate the product range youll work with our Executive Pastry Chef on ideas and techniques which make our kitchen a creative everchanging environment.
- Forthcoming with ideas youll proactively share your knowledge and expertise with your team.
- Make sure our operation run without hitch our service preparation is smooth and our food hygiene standards are skyhigh.
Qualifications :
What we are looking for...
- One to two years experience working in Pastry preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel/restaurant.
- You have an outstanding track record within a highend quality artisan bakery or luxury hotel environment.
- Passion for Pastry is a given; youve worked hard to perfect your craft and you have a huge appetite to continue learning from the best in the business.
- Youre all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with leaving them with a memorable experience.
- You make people feel good your team guests and colleagues alike.
- Organization and all over detail.
