Job Description

Job Summary: The Waiter/Waitress will provide excellent service to guests in our dining establishments ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role requires a strong understanding of menu offerings excellent communication skills and the ability to handle various guest requests and situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:

    • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner providing menu recommendations and answering any questions about food and beverages.
    • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently.
    • Serve food and beverages to guests ensuring timely delivery and attention to presentation and quality.
  • Operational Duties:

    • Set up and maintain dining areas including tables chairs and service stations ensuring cleanliness and organization.
    • Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally aiming to resolve issues to the guests satisfaction.
    • Process payments including handling cash and credit card transactions and provide accurate change or receipts.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and communication.
    • Assist in training new staff members as needed providing support and guidance to ensure they understand service standards and procedures.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Hygiene and Safety:

    • Adhere to health and safety regulations including proper food handling sanitation and personal hygiene practices.
    • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are clean and in good working condition.
  • Upselling and Recommendations:

    • Suggest and upsell menu items including specials and promotions to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
    • Stay informed about the menu including ingredients preparation methods and potential allergens to provide accurate information to guests.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage service including wine and cocktail offerings is an advantage.
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
    • Professional demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
  • Personal Attributes:

    • Friendly approachable and attentive with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.
    • A willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and standards.
