Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist Maintenance Technician II and III
- Resolve minor repairs and maintenance on plumbing physical structure electrical fixtures machinery heating air conditioning refrigeration spa kitchen and laundry equipment using hand and power tools electrician and plumbing tools
- Assist with pool readings and maintenance
- Resolve basic concerns such as light bulbs switching filters purchasing propane unclogging drains replacing switches and other duties as required
- Paints walls floors wood work and fixtures of establishment as need
- As the Engineer on Duty respond to guest calls regarding maintenance issues in rooms
- Establishes accountability by consistently filling out maintenance log book properly utilizing the rapid response system (Royal Service)
- Maintain shop and other work areas in a clean and organized condition
- Keep immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his attention so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate
- Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
- Follow all health and safety policies
- Other duties as assigned

- Basic knowledge of mechanical electrical and plumbing
- CA Drivers License preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Trade School training an asset
- Works well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to focus attention on guests needs remaining calm and courteous at all time
- Belief in a strong team culture
