Rate of Pay: $16.85/hour USD
Banquet servers are responsible for serving the menu offering for the event and assisting guests as needed.
- Table setting food station design and beverage service.
- Other duties include general banquet preparation room refreshes and maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment.
- Maintain complete knowledge of:
- Daily scheduled group functions times locations amount of people.
- Location of all hotel function space and names of rooms.
- All styles of meeting and banquet room settings.
- Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- All departmental/hotel policies and procedures.
- All safety guidelines.
- Serve wine in accordance to the Banquet Event Order.
- Ability to understand guests service needs and set up requirements.
- Ability to prioritize organize and follow through.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to focus attention on detail.
- Ability to adhere to timelines in completion of setups.
- Ability to adapt to priority changes of work flow or requirements.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision from Manager.
- Ability to performs and remain extremely alert while operating designated equipment machinery and tools.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables chairs staging dance floor podiums and other meeting/banquet room equipment. (When Needed)
- Ability to endure physical movements in performing job functions.
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments and coworkers as part of a team.
Qualifications :
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
- Food handling certification.
- Ability to satisfactory communication in English with guests management and coworkers to their understanding.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- High school graduate.
- Previous experience in similar hospitality position.
- Knowledge of various room setups and equipment involved.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques.
- Previous guest relations training.
