Temporary Cook
- Consistently offer professional friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
- Ensure that adequate meal preparation is completed for breakfast lunch and dinner
- Ensure that all meals are prepared according to set recipes
- Ability to work hot and cold side of the kitchen
- Knowledgeable of standard operating procedures
- Provide extensive hands on training support to both management and colleagues
- Liaise daily with the Chef de Partie or designate to keep open lines of communication regarding service improvements
- Assist with maintaining and enhancing the food products
- Working with the management team to ensure adequate inventory and products are available for food production
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and proper rotation of product in chillers
- Balance operational administrative and Colleague needs effectively
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas utensils and equipment
- Follow kitchen policies procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Qualifications:
- Certification in a Culinary discipline preferred
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus remaining calm and courteous at all times
Qualifications :
- Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or
- Certification in a Culinary discipline preferred
- CXC certification in Mathematics and English
- Computer literate Microsoft will be an asset
