Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with various learning difficulties tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Help students develop essential skills including social interactions communication and selfregulation.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents ensuring continuity of support.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special educational needs.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs preferably in a school or educational setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively collaborate with teachers parents and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications in education childcare or a related field (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable.
- A DBS check is required.
