Job Description

Autism Support Worker DynamicSecondary School inCroydon

A dynamic secondary school in Croydon is seeking an Autism Support Worker to support students with autism. This role is perfect for someone who is patient understanding and committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Position: Autism Support Worker
Type: Fulltime Permanent
Location: Croydon London

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with autism in the classroom and during activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support social integration and promote positive interactions among peers.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning materials and strategies.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with autism or similar special educational needs.
  • A patient empathetic and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • DBS check required.
