Job Description
Our renowned school in Richmond seeks a dedicated and visionary Head of Girls PE to join our dynamic faculty. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the opportunity to shape the future of physical education for young women within a supportive and academically rigorous environment.
About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Girls PE program aligning with the schools overall vision and educational goals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging PE curriculum tailored to the needs of girls.
- Oversee the work of PE teachers within the Girls PE program providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
- Promote the importance of physical and mental wellbeing among girls empowering them to achieve their full potential in PE and sports.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in PE or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for PE and a proven track record of success in leading and developing PE programs particularly for girls.
- Excels in leadership communication interpersonal skills and collaboration.
- Has a deep understanding of the National Curriculum for PE and the ability to create innovative and engaging learning experiences.
- A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and individual strengths.
