As our Head Host / Hostess you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests curating their journey with flair and elegance. From the warm Bonjour! to the heartfelt bientt! your role is to ensure that every guest leaves with a smile feeling personally attended to and treated like family. You will also oversee the hostess team orchestrating a seamless service that flows as smoothly as the finest glass of champagne.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Greet every guest with poise and charm making them feel instantly at home.
- Anticipate guest preferences accommodate special requests and ensure every detail is perfectly tailored to their needs.
- Overseeing daily operations of the hostess team ensuring high standards of guest service and smooth communication with kitchen and service staff.
- Managing guest flow waitlists and table turnover to optimise service efficiency.
- Ensuring the hostess area is organised welcoming and fully stocked with menus and materials.
- Training the hostess team to maintain Sofitels luxury service standards.
- Handle guest feedback with care and finesse always seeking to enhance the experience.
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager with administrative tasks including reservations seating plans and staff scheduling.
- Flexibility to work in a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Host / Hostess preferably in a luxury or highend hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a natural talent for making people feel at ease.
- A passion for luxury hospitality and creating unique experiences.
- Proficiency in reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
- This is a full time permanent role only candidates with fully flexible schedulles will be considered.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
