Job Description

At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts unparalleled service and luxury await guests of Privado our exclusive 125 room hotel within a hotel villa experience. As the Privado Assistant Manager your leadership will foster an engaged team of service professionals who bring our elevated service standards to life and turn moments into memories for our guests.

Reporting to the Privado Rooms Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all aspects of guest service and satisfaction for the Privado Villas
  • Lead and manage the Privado team to promote an environment of respect collaboration and accountability
  • Track and forecast Privado food & beverage volume daily
  • Maintain oversight of guest billing and accounting
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure guest loyalty
  • Demonstrate strong and effective written and verbal communication with all other departments highlighting guest requirements to ensure the proper level of service is delivered at all times
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly logging and notifying proper areas
  • Maintain oversight of inventory for Privado food & beverage as well as hotel collateral place orders as needed
  • Oversee room conditions working alongside Housekeeping and Engineering leadership to ensure routine maintenance in accordance with standards for superior quality
  • Assist with the screening interviewing and onboarding of new colleagues
  • Balance operational administrative and colleague needs
  • Follow department policies procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • 12 years of leadership experience in a role within hotel operations required
  • Hotel Rooms or Food & Beverage division experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a AAA FiveDiamond or Forbesrated hotel preferred
  • Prior experience within a luxury environment preferred
  • Entrepreneurial skills and attributes preferred
  • Previous hotel Property Management System experience preferred
  • A polished professional with exceptional presentation and a mature disposition
  •  Ability to focus attention on guest needs always remaining calm and courteous
  • Proven leadership skills which support an environment of colleague development interdepartmental teamwork and a passion for unrivaled customer service
  • Possesses the following qualities: selfmotivated proactive calm under pressure effective problem solving strong attention to detail and followthrough
  • Excellent communication skills including written verbal body language facial expressions telephone and interpersonal and leadership skills
