Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Security the Security Officer is responsible for providing exceptional guest service in a friendly welcoming and courteous manner as well as providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all hotel guest and colleagues.
Rate of Pay: $23.0024.50 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Continually demonstrate the Service Principles with every interaction with the guest and your colleagues.
- Help the team and the guest by undertaking other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by your or a manager.
- Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise clients with all questions and requests they may have.
- Patrols lobbies corridors and public rooms confers with management interviews guests and employees and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances complaints thefts vandalism and accidents.
- Patrols public areas to detect fires unsafe conditions and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
- Warns or ejects troublemakers and cautions careless persons.
- Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.
- Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
- Receives and delivers faxes and packages.
- Helps maintain safety of hotel guests and employees by conducting bag checks on all people entering and exiting the hotel through the employee entrance.
- Responds to reports of suspicious behavior or security threats.
- Aids as requested in the special security needs of high profile guests.
- Complies with legal regulations pertaining to Security and law enforcement and respects confidentiality requirements of the department.
- Other duties as required during their shifts to maintain the safety and security of our guests and colleagues.
Qualifications :
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have intermediateadvanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous exposure to hospitality Security strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain the Security Officer Commission required and must have a valid security license.
- Excellent verbal and written English
