Roles and responsibilities
- Develop and Upgrade the existing QMS into the latest requirements of ISO for IMS.
- Ensure implementation of the IMS.
- Achieve and Exceed QHSSE Objectives. Carry out Internal Audits.
- Conducting Management Review Meetings & Corrective and Preventive action meetings.
- Assure safekeeping of all quality manuals, procedures, works instructions, work standards, forms, records and other quality related documents.
- To recommend the Opportunities for continual improvement of the QMS, to the management.
- Ensure projects/services compliance with the company's established policies and procedures.
- Serve as the focal point of contact and source of professional QHSSE information and advice.
- Development of HSSE policies, practices and procedures. Play an active role in fulfilling Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental procedures.
- Develop and implement solutions for emergency readiness plans for the organization.
- Conduct QHSSE induction and other awareness training for employees.
- Implement safe work practices and develop safety plans within the organization.
- Initiate the need of improving QHSSE processes through monitoring of plans, conducting site inspections, audits, drills, participating in joint meetings and accumulating feedback.
- Communicate QHSSE policies and strategic objectives to team members and interpret policies in relation to team members’ specific jobs.
- Stay abreast with environmental issues such as Pollution and Waste Management and be skilled in recommending control measures to address the issues.
- Chair QHSE meetings; deal tactfully with clients and regulatory bodies.
- Follow up non-conformance reports and confirm remedial actions are carried out.
- Maintain and control daily QHSSE practices through regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are identified, precautionary measures are taken and relevant HSE advice is provided.
- Ensure all accidents, injuries, fires, property damage, and other safety-related incidents, issues are investigated, disseminate required reports and ensure that recommended preventive measures are carried out.
- Check/advise proper usage and maintenance of HSE-related protective equipment and evaluate effectiveness to particular job task or activity.
- To perform any other functions and responsibilities relative to QHSSE which be assigned intermittently by the Management.
- To implement HSE procedures, HSE objectives / Targets and to ensure its full compliance.
- To Implement Safety plans and ensure safe working environment.
- Implement Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
- Ensure effective functioning of all activities in compliance with HSE procedures.
Desired candidate profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Preferably IRCA certified Lead Auditor with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent skills for process improvement whilst improving company QHSE processes and procedures.
- Ability to establish and implement QHSE documentations for Projects.
- Strong knowledge on the development, maintenance and improvement of ISO 9001- QMS, ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 45001 H&S standards and related procedures.
- Strong skills for auditing and continuous improvement.
- Ability for influencing culture, training and building on the strong QHSE commitment and culture - Motivation and a commitment to innovation and executing best practices.
- Ability to detect deficiencies by internal audits; able to guide the project team and Auditors.
- Knowledgeable in analyzing deficiencies and developing preventive and corrective actions.
- Excellent in communication and technical skills.
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Computer proficiency utilizing word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
