Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Assist the manager in leading and supervising team members to achieve departmental goals.

  • Staff Training: Provide training and mentorship to new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.

  • Performance Management: Support the manager in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to team members.

  • Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in workflow.

  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Sales Support: Assist in driving sales initiatives and achieving targets set by management.

  • Inventory Management: Help manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock.

  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring departmental budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial plans.

  • Reporting: Prepare reports on team performance, sales metrics, and operational issues for the manager.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among team members.

  • Conflict Resolution: Help resolve conflicts within the team and address employee grievances professionally.

  • Scheduling: Assist in creating work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.

  • Meeting Participation: Attend team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback to improve team performance.

  • Project Coordination: Assist the manager in coordinating projects, ensuring timelines and goals are met.

  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the team and between departments.

  • Health and Safety: Promote a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Customer Engagement: Foster relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the manager in developing and implementing strategic plans.
