About the Role:
In this position you will lead and manage the maintenance operations of a manufacturing facility ensuring the highest standards of safety efficiency and reliability. As a key leader you will be responsible for guiding the maintenance team implementing preventive strategies and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while managing the budget and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team to promote a culture of safety collaboration and accountability.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to industry regulations.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and control operational costs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and reduce expenses.
- Prepare and oversee the maintenance budget ensuring resources are used efficiently.
- Foster open communication and encourage continuous learning within the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Facilities Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management particularly in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices including equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to food safety and manufacturing standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English (reading writing and speaking).
- Proven problemsolving abilities and strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and driving cultural changes within an organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dairy manufacturing or a similar food production environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
- Experience with WorldClass Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
