The firm is seeking an Accounts & Outsourcing SemiSenior to join their dynamic and growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts providing clients with timely and accurate financial information.
- Provide outsourced accounting services including bookkeeping VAT returns and payroll support ensuring clients meet their compliance obligations.
- Act as a point of contact for clients offering support and advice on accounting and tax matters and building strong professional relationships.
- Utilize accounting software such as Xero QuickBooks and other cloudbased systems to provide efficient services and reports.
- Prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients across various industries ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Work closely with senior team members and managers to ensure deadlines are met and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Assist in the review of internal processes and procedures contributing ideas for improvement to ensure high standards of service delivery.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- AAT level 4 qualified and currently studying or looking to study towards an ACA or ACCA qualification. Candidates who are not AAT level 4 qualified will be considered provided their experience meets the other criteria of the role.
- Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential with a strong background in preparing accounts and providing outsourced services.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and current regulations.
- Proficiency in Xero QuickBooks Sage or similar accounting software. Experience with cloud accounting solutions is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients.
- A commitment to providing excellent client service and building lasting client relationships.
- A collaborative attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A desire for professional growth with aspirations to progress within the firm.
