Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology Finance and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in the government sector in Huntsville Alabama in search of a highly talented Application Developer to join their team supporting the Department of Justice.
Job Summary:
The Application Developer will support a highly capable and diverse team driving technical innovation. You will design develop refactor enhance test evaluate and support software applications currently hosted onpremises to be migrated to AWS GovCloud. This role involves collaboration with team members and the Government PM to analyze existing systems and design appropriate solutions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design develop and support software applications for migration from onpremises to AWS GovCloud
- Analyze existing systems and design solutions in collaboration with team members and Government PM
- Develop scalable userintuitive highquality and highperforming web applications
- Implement business and process changes to applications/systems
- Coordinate with integrated and noncustomer software systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues alongside infrastructure development and managerial team members
- Develop SOAP and REST APIs in a client/server environment
- Write and evaluate regular expressions
- Automate command tasks using scripting command line tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Computer Security or related field; or 3 additional years of relevant experience
- Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI w CI Poly clearance preferred)
- 2 years of experience as a software developer building multitier framework software applications
- Experience with .NET Core 7/8 React and fullstack development
- Knowledge of Azure fundamentals
- Experience with microservices SOAP and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in frontend technologies: HTML JavaScript CSS TypeScript
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Linux commands and Docker containers
- Understanding of GitLab CI/CD and its use as a ticketing system
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in objectoriented programming languages particularly Java and Python
- Experience with cloud application development and management preferably AWS
- Knowledge of objectrelational mapping (ORM)
- Proficiency in webrelated technologies: HTML5 JavaScript and CSS
- Experience with major databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL or SQL Server)
- Ability to work in an Agile team environment
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
