Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our team for an exciting project. This role is crucial for our ongoing development efforts and will involve working closely with our existing team of developers to enhance our IT infrastructure and resolve any existing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for:

1. Code Review: Thoroughly review the code contributed by our existing development team. Your insights and expertise will help ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.

2. Bug Fixing: Identify and fix bugs in the current codebase. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently will be essential in maintaining smooth operations.

3. Initial Assessment: Conduct an initial assessment of the existing code and IT infrastructure. This includes evaluating the architecture, performance, and scalability of our applications.

4. API Development: Experience in developing and integrating APIs will be beneficial as you may be required to work on API-related tasks during the project.

5. Desired candidate profile

Must-Have Skills:

• Laravel: Strong expertise in Laravel is essential. You should be well-versed in its features, best practices, and architecture, enabling you to deliver high-quality applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Shopify: Familiarity with Shopify and its API will be advantageous. This knowledge will help in streamlining our e-commerce functionalities.

Engagement Details:

• Start Date: We are looking for candidates who can start as early as October 17, 2024, with the latest possible start being November 1, 2024.

• Duration: The engagement is expected to last a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of long-term collaboration, depending on performance and project needs.

• Workload: This is a part-time position, with an estimated workload of 8-10 hours per week after the onboarding phase.

• Remote Work: The position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Language Requirements:

• While not mandatory, knowledge of German would be beneficial for communication within our team and with stakeholders.
