Roles and responsibilities

Our client, a leading global automotive manufacturer with operational hubs across various countries and a dedicated team of 60-70 professionals, is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer. This role will support the development of test management within a customer data project, focusing on enhancing customer-related processes, including the user journey and login functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes. Your primary tasks will include:

• AWS and Kubernetes Deployment: You will be responsible for setting up and managing the cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the project's needs while maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.

• Automation: Utilizing your extensive experience, you will automate various processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention. Your proficiency in setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines will be crucial for smooth and rapid deployment cycles.

• Collaboration with Development Teams: You will work closely with the development team, leveraging GitHub Enterprise to streamline the development process. Your role will involve ensuring that the integration of new features and updates is seamless and efficient.

Desired candidate profile

Technical Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess a solid understanding of AWS Cloud Services, particularly:

• Core AWS Services: Expertise in EC2, Lambda, S3, Route 53, Load Balancers, IAM, EKS, RDS, MSK, and ElastiCache is essential.

• Scripting and Development: Proficiency in common scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar languages is necessary for automation and process enhancement.

• GitHub Enterprise: Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions is required for effective version control and collaboration.

• Additional Tools: Knowledge of Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Terraform is a plus, as these tools will further support the infrastructure and deployment processes.

Soft Skills
