The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Laravel and experience with API development. Familiarity with Shopify is a plus, as our infrastructure includes integrations with this platform.
Key Responsibilities
Code Review: Assess and evaluate the code contributed by our current development team. Identify areas for improvement, best practices, and any potential security vulnerabilities.
Bug Fixing: Troubleshoot and resolve bugs within the existing codebase, ensuring that the application runs smoothly and efficiently.
Initial Assessment: Provide an initial assessment of our existing IT infrastructure. This includes evaluating our current setup, identifying bottlenecks, and suggesting enhancements to improve performance and scalability.
Collaboration: Work closely with our existing development team to implement fixes and improvements. Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Compensation
We offer a competitive hourly rate between €80 and €100, inclusive of the Uplink fee. This compensation reflects the expertise and commitment we expect from the freelancer.

Required Skills
Laravel: Proficiency in Laravel is essential, as this is the primary framework used in our codebase. The freelancer should be comfortable navigating complex code structures and implementing solutions effectively.
API Development: Experience with API development is crucial for this role. The freelancer should understand RESTful services and be able to integrate with various external APIs seamlessly.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Shopify: While not mandatory, experience with Shopify would be beneficial. Understanding Shopify’s architecture and its integration with Laravel will be an asset as we work on enhancing our platform.
German Language: Knowledge of the German language would be advantageous, as it may facilitate communication within our team and with stakeholders.
Engagement Details
Start Date: We are looking for someone to begin as soon as possible, with a start date ranging from October 17, 2024, to November 1, 2024.
Duration: The position is intended for a minimum of three months, with the possibility of extending for a long-term collaboration based on performance and project needs.
Workload: This is a part-time position, with an estimated workload of 8-10 hours per week following the onboarding phase. Flexibility in scheduling is encouraged to accommodate the freelancer’s other commitments.
