About the Role:
Were seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join a Labor and Delivery team providing care and support to mothers and their families during childbirth. This role requires clinical expertise collaboration and the ability to manage both routine and highrisk deliveries. As part of the healthcare team youll help bring new lives into the world and make a lasting impact on families.
Your Mission:
- Monitor & Assess: Regularly assess the condition of pregnant women during labor and childbirth.
- Support Deliveries: Assist with labor and delivery including both vaginal and cesarean births.
- Emotional & Educational Support: Provide emotional support and education to mothers and families before during and after childbirth.
- Medication & Monitoring: Administer medications and monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Collaboration: Work with physicians and healthcare teams to create birth plans and ensure safe effective care.
- Postpartum Care: Educate mothers on postpartum and newborn care assisting with breastfeeding initiation and support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all aspects of labor and delivery.
Core Competencies:
- Expertise in labor and delivery procedures and fetal monitoring.
- Strong communication skills for patient and family support.
- Ability to work in highstress highstakes environments.
What You Bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in labor and delivery.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure & Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Preferred Skills: Bachelors degree in nursing 5 years of labor and delivery experience and recent experience in highrisk OB preferred.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Work Schedule: Fulltime 36 hours per week.
