SEN English Teacher Secondary School Greenwich
An inclusive and dynamic secondary school in Greenwich is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN English Teacher to join their team. This is a fulltime permanent position ideal for a committed educator who is eager to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative engaging English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning needs ensuring all students regardless of their challenges can access and succeed in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan prepare and deliver differentiated English lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of SEN students promoting progress and achievement.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students working closely with the SENCO and other support staff.
- Monitor and assess students progress providing timely feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to ensure every student can thrive.
- Create a positive inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation confidence and a love for learning.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers teaching assistants and external specialists to provide holistic support for students with SEN.
- Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress and support strategies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognized teaching qualification (QTS) and experience teaching English at the secondary level.
- Previous experience working with students with a range of special educational needs including but not limited to ASD ADHD dyslexia and emotional or behavioural difficulties.
- A passion for SEN and inclusive education with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff students and parents.
- A patient empathetic and resilient attitude with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
