Job Description
Our dynamic academy in Hammersmith & Fulham seeks a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our vibrant faculty. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the opportunity to shape young minds and foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Art lessons across all year groups adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity experimentation and critical thinking.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of art history techniques and contemporary art movements.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE ALevel as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Arts department and other departments to create interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall learning experience.
- Contribute to the schools arts program by organizing exhibitions workshops and extracurricular activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for art and a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication interpersonal skills and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and individual creativity.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- Has a strong understanding of contemporary art movements and a passion for inspiring students to explore their own artistic voices.
