Job Description
Our highly selective grammar school in West London is seeking a passionate and experienced Geography teacher to join our dynamic faculty. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the opportunity to inspire and nurture bright young minds in a supportive and academically rigorous environment.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons tailored to the needs of highachieving students.
- Cultivate a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters a love of exploration critical thinking and geographical inquiry.
- Guide students in developing a deep understanding of geographical concepts analytical skills and practical applications.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE ALevel and beyond) at the highest levels.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Geography department and across other disciplines to create a holistic learning experience.
- Contribute to the schools academic excellence and participate in extracurricular activities related to Geography.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for Geography and a proven track record of success in raising student achievement in a selective school environment.
- Excels in communication interpersonal skills and classroom management within a highachieving environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
