The surgical renal unit is a small familyoriented unit where you can gain exceptional nursing skills and become part of a work family. This 19bed telemetry unit provides services to complex patients with general medical needs and diagnoses that can include acute and chronic renal failure hypertension diabetes head and neck cancer thyroid cancer heart failure chronic wounds and paraplegia or quadriplegia. The team also cares for kidney transplant recipients and living donors with an outpatient infusion room for new kidney transplant patients to come receive infusions after they have been discharged. At Sanford Medical Center the care of criticallyill adult patients occurs in three separate critical care units that are covered by the same nursing staff. Critical Care 2000 is a 12bed pulmonary/medical critical care unit. Critical Care 3000 is a 15bed trauma surgical and neurocritical care unit. Critical Care 2800 is a 12bed acuity adaptable unit for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients. The units are staffed 24/7 with inhouse intensivist services and daily coverage by three specialty services: pulmonary surgical and neurocritical care. The staff works closely with the intensivist surgical critical care team and neurocritical care team as well as other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide goaldirected care. Responsibilities Plans and coordinates patient care assessment education triage and various other nursing interventions Collaborates with colleagues including physicians to plan implement and evaluate care Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services health maintenance diagnosis treatment and followup along the continuum of care Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting medication systems etc.) One Chart for all documentation PCA and Epidural pumps and Telemetry Required skills and minimum years of experience. Registered nurse licensed in SD minimum of 1 year experience working with surgical patients Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT CRT BLS ACLS etc) : BLS |
Comments:36 hours per week 12 hour shifts Every other weekend and holiday. Willing to take a local candidate! LOCAL RATES (80mi Radius) Bill rate will be xx8 less
