QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems (Hardware/Software)
- Understanding general automotive vehicle electrical system design and system/ECU specifications
- Understand LAN (CAN/Ethernet) and Power distribution (12V/High voltage) for system development
- Communication and negotiation able to work with others within the organization to share and communicate ideas with other Toyota stakeholders (including TMS and overseas companies) to gain agreements on direction
- Presentation skill able to create a simple and concise story to communicate detailed technical data as simple message to TMNA executives and TMC
- Understanding of electrical platforms
BONUS
- Understanding of Toyota vehicle development process >5 years of vehicle development experience
- Experience developing Software Defined Vehicle. Software structure (ex. hypervisor system)
- Developing machine learning application and control software for prototype
- Software programming skill: C Python Tensorflow Numpy Matlab

We are seeking a talented Engineer to join our innovation team. As a key contributor you will develop new and improved vehicle electrical systems that integrate with the global Toyota electrical platform architecture in collaboration with other stakeholders by clarifying the business needs and including customer needs market trends and other system performance requirements to ensure the final product is aligned with Toyotas mission/vision to provide mobility and happiness for all.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and development of advanced vehicle electrical systems that are applied to crosscar line models as standard systems executed on the global electrical platform
- Research of NA customer needs and market trends including competitor benchmarking attending industry events/conferences and collaboration with customer research groups
- Prioritizing and defining customer needs them as system technical requirements
- Creating system specifications that clarify the purpose requirements and target performance
- Communicating and negotiating with TMNA stakeholders in R&D Sales and Quality to gain agreement on customer needs and priorities
- Creating business cases including development costs parts cost and sales plan (price volume grade strategy) for systems and gain alignment with TMNA stakeholders in Sales and Vehicle Z
- Managing project schedules key milestones and reporting status and risks to executive management on regular basis
- Building hardware prototype
