Job Description
Job Title: IT Forensics Specialist (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents including data breaches and cyberattacks.
- Analyze digital evidence from various sources including computers networks and mobile devices.
- Develop and implement forensic analysis methodologies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings for stakeholders including law enforcement if necessary.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to enhance overall security posture and incident response capabilities.
- Stay current with industry trends tools and best practices in digital forensics and cybersecurity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Experience in digital forensics incident response or a related field.
- Proficiency in forensic tools and software (e.g. EnCase FTK Autopsy) and knowledge of operating systems (Windows Linux macOS).
- Strong understanding of network protocols malware analysis and data recovery techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) or equivalent) are a plus.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
