Scientific Software Developer
HyLabs final goal is to create a worldwide reference Research Development and Innovation (R&DI) cluster with a strategic agenda focused on strengthening hydrogen competitiveness and creation of new products and services. Moreover the HyLab will foster innovation addressing the relevant supply chain components to enable a hydrogendriven economy and to promote skilled and valueadded job creation.
It targets a gap between the academia and industrial ecosystems in the implementation of green hydrogen to boost the energy transition and to tackle the energy transition challenges through the entire hydrogen value chain.
The HyLab involves valuable national and international R&D institutes academia industry companies small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) startups and hydrogenrelated technology manufacturing industries.
We are looking for a Scientific Software Developer who will report to the Lead Researcher and will have the mission to Develop software applications and provide technical support across the Hydrogen areas.
You will be challenged with:
- Develop software applications for scientific research in the areas of hydrogen.
- Provide technical support to the different hydrogen R&D teams in developing computational code.
- Collaborate in R&D projects namely in the Mobilizing Agendas of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
- Cooperate with project partners to ensure delivery of technical work and preparation of related project reports.
- Participate in activities to disseminate the scientific knowledge produced (writing scientific articles communications at conferences presentations).
- Degree and/or Masters Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
- Experience in Scientific (and/or Commercial) Software Development with different Operating System (OS) version control systems ObjectOriented Programming (OOP) and High Performing Computer (HPC).
- Have a strong foundation in machine learning data analysis and numerical methods.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong planning organizational and rigorous skills.
- Proficiency level in English C1.
