About the Position:
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Career Services to play a pivotal role in guiding our students to success. This individual will support students throughout their academic journey aligning with our mission to develop quality entrylevel professionals for our communities.

Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing all department functions including staffing and mentoring Career Services Personnel.
- Engaging each student with Career Services to explore job interests and future plans.
- Exceeding placement benchmarks and fostering relationships with industry employers for externship and job placement.
- Managing job order development resume presentation interview scheduling and followups.
- Assisting students in securing parttime employment and planning advisory meetings with Academic Deans.
- Coordinating externship placements and building community engagement through job fairs and employer campus visits.
- Maintaining accurate placement data and submitting required reports to leadership and accrediting bodies.
- Delivering presentations on Career Development and continuously surveying graduates and employers to align programs with market needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Preferred 5 years in career services or related fields like job placement marketing customer service recruiting or staffing.
- At least 2 years of staff management experience.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Experience with Campus Nexxus is advantageous.
- This role is remotefirst; preference is given to candidates in Rockford and surrounding areas.
