Join our dynamic team at GiveDirectly as a versatile and innovative UI/Web/Graphic Designer. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the visual landscape of our website, web applications, print materials, and a variety of other assets that support our mission of promoting direct giving.
We seek a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and strong project management skills. Your primary focus will be to create engaging and user-friendly designs that cater to our diverse audience, which includes individual donors and large institutions. As a vital member of our communications team, your designs will significantly impact our brand awareness and empower those we serve.
Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the VP of Product & Growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Creation: You will develop and enhance visual assets for our website, digital campaigns, print materials, and brand collateral. Your role encompasses everything from initial conceptual designs to final execution, ensuring a consistent and impactful presence across all platforms.
Branding & Communication: You will create visually appealing graphics and layouts that reflect and promote our brand identity. This includes designing digital and print materials such as icons, templates, reports, and presentations, all while adhering to our brand guidelines.
Collaboration: Collaboration is essential in this role. You will work closely with various internal teams to understand their design needs, gather feedback, and incorporate it into your work. Partnering with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders will allow you to deliver high-quality design solutions effectively.
Project Management: You will balance multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing tasks according to project requirements. Your ability to produce visually compelling solutions through wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes will be crucial.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in graphic design, marketing design, or a related field, complemented by a robust portfolio that showcases a diverse array of web, print, and digital work.
Skills: Proficiency in Figma and other design tools is essential. You should have a solid understanding of design principles, visual hierarchy, and user experience, along with an excellent attention to detail that enables you to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with our diverse team.
