Job Description
Job Title: LPN/LVN (Nursing)
Location: Rochester NY 14617
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: D/N Rotate Shift
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to join our nursing team. The successful candidate will provide quality patient care in an acute care setting ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Take responsibility for assigned patient care and ensure all care tasks are completed.
- Assist with patient admissions transfers and discharges.
- Float to different departments as needed including ICU or ER to care for M/S level patients or provide additional support.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license in New York State.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work every other weekend.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in critical care or emergency services is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage stress effectively.
