Graduate of an approved medical school with license to practice medicine in Alabama issued by the State Board OR Standard Certificate as issued by the Educational Council for foreign medical graduates
JOB DESCRIPTION
Diagnose & treat patients needing psychiatric services
Participate in scheduling patient care huddles/previsit planning compilation of patient care plans patient education & patient self management goals
Work with administrators in regard to nonmedical duties
Gain & maintain privileges at local hospitals if applicable & arrange admission of patients needing hospitalization
Supervise midlevel practitioners for routine care & management of common psychiatric problems & provide consultation and/or accept referrals for complex psychiatric problems
Available by phone in emergencies
