Job Description

SENDCo OUTSTANDING Primary School Wandsworth

A leading primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENDCo to join their exceptional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the provision for students with special educational needs working closely with staff parents and external agencies to ensure all children receive the support they need to thrive.   • SENDCo required on a fulltime permanent basis

  • SENDCo to lead SEN provision and work collaboratively across the school

  • Rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted the school is recognized for its nurturing and supportive environment particularly in its SEN provision.

  • Strong links with parents and the community ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to education and student support.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the SEN provision throughout the school ensuring that students with special educational needs receive tailored support and interventions.
  • Working closely with teachers parents and external agencies to develop and implement effective SEN strategies and support plans.
  • Leading the SEN team and providing guidance training and professional development for staff in relation to SEN best practices.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of SEN students and ensuring compliance with national and school standards.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
  • Experience working with children with a wide range of special educational needs
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A clear DBS check
  • Legal right to work within the UK
