Responsibilities
- Overseeing the SEN provision throughout the school ensuring that students with special educational needs receive tailored support and interventions.
- Working closely with teachers parents and external agencies to develop and implement effective SEN strategies and support plans.
- Leading the SEN team and providing guidance training and professional development for staff in relation to SEN best practices.
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress of SEN students and ensuring compliance with national and school standards.
Experience and Qualifications
- A qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
- Experience working with children with a wide range of special educational needs
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A clear DBS check
- Legal right to work within the UK
