Job Description

Join Our Team as a SEN Teaching Assistant!

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: FullTime

Salary: Competitive and based on experience

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oneonone and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor and record student progress providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN support is advantageous.
  • Patience empathy and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and work effectively under pressure.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
