Job Description:
Manage OnPremises Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform infrastructure including provisioning managing and deploying containerized applications.
Create configure and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform ensuring high availability of the cluster.
Administer Red Hat OpenShift services (Operators OpenShift Data Foundation Pipelines Image Registry OpenShift Serverless Routes S3 Compatible Storage).
Set up authentication methods (LDAP) define roles and permissions using RoleBased Access Control (RBAC) and manage user accounts.
Configure networking within the cluster including service definitions and networking policies.
Manage OpenShift Container Storage (OCS)/OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for stateful workloads including persistent storage setup.
Perform version upgrades and optimize cluster performance.
Manage OnPremises Elasticsearch clusters (deployment configuration index management snapshot/restore cluster upgrades).
Build and administer Apache/Confluent Kafka messaging platform.
Develop and maintain CI/CD systems using Git GitHub Jenkins and Helm.
Perform Jenkins installation upgrades RBAC configuration and CI/CD pipelines management.
Administer PostgreSQL database (installation configuration upgrades monitoring).
Install configure and manage monitoring tools (Grafana/Prometheus) and push container logs to Elasticsearch using FluentD/FluentBit.
Write Helm Charts Kubernetes manifest files and Docker files.
Utilize scripting languages (Bash Python) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).
Evaluate the platform for security improvements and observability developing proofsofconcept.
Required Skills:
Technologies: Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes Docker Podman Elasticsearch PostgreSQL Jenkins GitLab Kafka.
Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator are a plus.
