Virtual IVs to start followed up w/IN PERSON

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking a Project Manager for the implementation of the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS). SVRS is a statewide voter registration and election management system. This is a highrisk project and will require strict adherence to the requirements in this posting. It is preferred that the PM work a hybrid schedule with minimum of three days per week in the ELECT offices in Richmond VA however this is open for discussion.
SVRS is a highrisk project with high visibility and significant complexity therefore the SVRS Project Manager will be required to work in a fastpaced potentially stressful environment. Relevant experience in similar environments should be clearly documented in the applicants resume.
SVRS is currently under contract and undergoing development. The duties of the SVRS Project Manager will include:
Daily interaction with stakeholders project team members and ELECT staff.
Attendance at virtual and inperson project meetings daily.
Management of project performance metrics and recording of data in CTP.
Adhere to requirements of Commonwealth Project Management Standard.
Coordination with SVRS contractor project management team for all aspects of project performance.
Work in conjunction with members of the ELECT SVRS project team.
Facilitate communication between SVRS contractor PM team and ELECT staff.
Oversee coordination of SVRS project calendar.
Conduct briefings on SVRS project status to internal and external audiences including the Interagency Oversight Committee.
The required education and experience for this position are as follows:
Active Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Please upload a copy in Vector or they will not be considered.
Documented risk management experience.
Successful completion of a Category 1 or 2 Commonwealth of Virginia project of $5M or more or completion of a nonCOV project with a value greater than $10M as PM of record. (pls make sure their exp with this is HIGHLIGHTED on their resume)
Bachelors degree is appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
Familiarization with the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent clientfacing and internal communications skills written and verbal.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
