The role involves overseeing IT projects ensuring alignment with business objectives managing timelines and supporting the PMO in governance reporting and continuous followup. You will be responsible for managing project deliverables coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans including project scope goals deliverables timelines and resource requirements.
- Lead the endtoend project lifecycle from initiation to closure ensuring that projects are completed on time within scope and within budget.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress adjusting plans and timelines when necessary to meet project milestones.
PMO (Project Management Office) Support
- Collaborate with the PMO to ensure that projects align with the organization s governance frameworks.
- Support PMO activities such as portfolio management resource management risk management and financial tracking.
Reporting and Documentation
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status risks issues and budget performance.
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Ensure comprehensive project reporting and analysis using appropriate tools such as dashboards to track KPIs and project metrics.
Risk Management
- Identify analyze and mitigate project risks and issues proactively escalating them as needed.
- Develop contingency plans to address any potential obstacles or delays.
- Ensure proper risk documentation and followup actions are implemented.
Stakeholder Communication and Coordination
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders ensuring expectations are managed and key project updates are shared in a timely manner.
- Facilitate regular project meetings ensuring agendas are set minutes are captured and followup actions are completed.
- Manage the relationship between IT business units and thirdparty vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Budget and Financial Tracking
- Track project budget expenditures and ensure financial forecasting aligns with project timelines.
- Ensure that the project remains within the approved budget and identify costsaving opportunities where possible.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science Project Management or a related field.
- 8 years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager managing medium to largescale IT projects.
- Strong understanding of PMO processes governance and best practices in project reporting and followup.
- Experience in budget tracking cost control and financial reporting for IT projects.
- Expertise in project management methodologies
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project Jira Trello Asana or other similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills.
- Strong knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and creating reporting dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working in an IT environment particularly with cloud technologies software development or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with PMO software tools and systems.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with crossfunctional teams.
